Offerings When Entering Canaan

1 Now Yahweh ^H3068 spoke ^H1696 to Moses ^H4872, saying ^H559,

2 “Speak ^H1696 to the sons ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478 and say ^H559 to them, ‘When ^H3588 you enter ^H935 the land ^H776 of your places ^H4186 of habitation ^H4186, which ^H834 I am going to give ^H5414 you, 3 then make ^H6213 an offering ^H801 by ^H801 fire ^H801 to Yahweh ^H3068, a burnt ^H5930 offering ^H5930 or ^H176 a sacrifice ^H2077 to [fn]fulfill ^H6381 a ^H6381 special ^H6381 vow ^H5088, or ^H176 as a freewill ^H5071 offering ^H5071 or ^H176 in your appointed ^H4150 times ^H4150, to make ^H6213 a soothing ^H5207 aroma ^H7381 to Yahweh ^H3068, from the herd ^H1241 or ^H176 from the flock ^H6629. 4 And the one who brings ^H7126 his offering ^H7133 near ^H7126 shall bring ^H7126 near ^H7126 to Yahweh ^H3068 a grain offering ^H4503 of one-tenth of an [fn]ephah of fine ^H5560 flour ^H5560 mixed ^H1101 with one-fourth of a [fn]hin ^H1969 of oil ^H8081, 5 and you shall prepare ^H6213 wine ^H3196 for the drink ^H5262 offering ^H5262, one-fourth of a hin ^H1969, with the burnt ^H5930 offering ^H5930 or ^H176 for the sacrifice ^H2077, for each ^H259 lamb ^H3532. 6 Or ^H176 for a ram ^H352 you shall prepare ^H6213 as a grain offering ^H4503 two-tenths ^H8147 H6241 of an ephah of fine ^H5560 flour ^H5560 mixed ^H1101 with one-third ^H7992 of a hin ^H1969 of oil ^H8081; 7 and for the drink ^H5262 offering ^H5262 you shall bring ^H7126 near ^H7126 one-third ^H7992 of a hin ^H1969 of wine ^H3196 as a soothing ^H5207 aroma ^H7381 to Yahweh ^H3068. 8 And when ^H3588 you prepare ^H6213 a bull from the herd ^H1121 H1241 as a burnt ^H5930 offering ^H5930 or ^H176 a sacrifice ^H2077, to [fn]fulfill ^H6381 a ^H6381 special ^H6381 vow ^H5088, or ^H176 for peace ^H8002 offerings ^H8002 to Yahweh ^H3068, 9 then you shall bring ^H7126 near ^H7126 with the bull from the herd ^H1121 H1241 a grain offering ^H4503 of three-tenths ^H7969 H6241 of an ephah of fine ^H5560 flour ^H5560 mixed ^H1101 with one-half a hin ^H1969 of oil ^H8081; 10 and you shall bring ^H7126 near ^H7126 as the drink ^H5262 offering ^H5262 one-half a hin ^H1969 of wine ^H3196 as an offering ^H801 by ^H801 fire ^H801, as a soothing ^H5207 aroma ^H7381 to Yahweh ^H3068.

11 ‘Thus ^H3602 it shall be done ^H6213 for each ^H259 ox ^H7794, or ^H176 for each ^H259 ram ^H352, or ^H176 for each of the male ^H3532 lambs ^H7716, or ^H176 of the goats ^H5795. 12 According to the number ^H4557 that you prepare ^H6213, so ^H3602 you shall do ^H6213 for everyone ^H259 according to their number ^H4557. 13 All ^H3605 who are native ^H249 shall do ^H6213 these ^H428 things ^H428 in this ^H3602 manner ^H3602, in bringing ^H7126 near ^H7126 an offering ^H801 by ^H801 fire ^H801, as a soothing ^H5207 aroma ^H7381 to Yahweh ^H3068.

Statute for the Sojourner

14 And if ^H3588 a sojourner ^H1616 sojourns ^H1481 with you, or ^H176 one who ^H834 may be among ^H8432 you throughout your generations ^H1755, and he [fn]offers ^H6213 an offering ^H801 by ^H801 fire ^H801 as a soothing ^H5207 aroma ^H7381 to Yahweh ^H3068, just ^H834 as you do ^H6213 so ^H3651 he shall do ^H6213. 15 As for the assembly ^H6951, there shall be one ^H259 statute ^H2708 for you and for the sojourner ^H1616 who sojourns ^H1481 with you, a perpetual ^H5769 statute ^H2708 throughout your generations ^H1755; as you are, so shall the sojourner ^H1616 be before ^H6440 Yahweh ^H3068. 16 There shall be one ^H259 law ^H8451 and one ^H259 judgment ^H4941 for you and for the sojourner ^H1616 who sojourns ^H1481 with you.’”

17 Then Yahweh ^H3068 spoke ^H1696 to Moses ^H4872, saying ^H559, 18 “Speak ^H1696 to the sons ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478 and say ^H559 to them, ‘When you enter ^H935 the land ^H776 where ^H834 H8033 I am going to bring ^H935 you, 19 then it shall be, that when you eat ^H398 of the [fn]food ^H3899 of the land ^H776, you shall [fn]raise ^H7311 up ^H7311 [fn]a contribution ^H8641 offering ^H8641 to Yahweh ^H3068. 20 Of the first ^H7225 of your [fn]dough ^H6182 you shall [fn]raise ^H7311 up ^H7311 a cake ^H2471 as a [fn]contribution ^H8641 offering ^H8641; as the [fn]contribution ^H8641 offering ^H8641 of the threshing ^H1637 floor ^H1637, so ^H3651 you shall raise ^H7311 it up ^H7311. 21 From the first ^H7225 of your [fn]dough ^H6182 you shall give ^H5414 to Yahweh ^H3068 a [fn]contribution ^H8641 offering ^H8641 throughout your generations ^H1755.

22 ‘But when ^H3588 you unintentionally ^H7686 fail ^H7368 and do not observe ^H6213 all ^H3605 these ^H428 commandments ^H4687, which ^H834 Yahweh ^H3068 has spoken ^H1696 to Moses ^H4872, 23 even all ^H3605 that Yahweh ^H3068 has commanded ^H6680 you by the hand ^H3027 of Moses ^H4872, from the day ^H3117 when ^H834 Yahweh ^H3068 commanded ^H6680 and onward ^H1973 throughout your generations ^H1755, 24 then it will be, if ^H518 it is done ^H6213 unintentionally ^H7684, hidden from ^H4480 the sight ^H5869 of the congregation ^H5712, that all ^H3605 the congregation ^H5712 shall offer ^H6213 one ^H259 bull ^H6499 from the herd ^H1121 H1241 for a burnt ^H5930 offering ^H5930 as a soothing ^H5207 aroma ^H7381 to Yahweh ^H3068, with its grain offering ^H4503 and its drink ^H5262 offering ^H5262, according to the legal judgment ^H4941, and one ^H259 male ^H8163 goat ^H5795 for a sin ^H2403 offering ^H2403. 25 Then the priest ^H3548 shall make ^H3722 atonement ^H3722 for all ^H3605 the congregation ^H5712 of the sons ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478, and they will be pardoned ^H5545; for it was an error ^H7684, and they have brought ^H935 their offering ^H7133, an offering ^H801 by ^H801 fire ^H801 to Yahweh ^H3068, and their sin ^H2403 offering ^H2403 before ^H6440 Yahweh ^H3068, for their error ^H7684. 26 So all ^H3605 the congregation ^H5712 of the sons ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478 will be pardoned ^H5545, with the sojourner ^H1616 who sojourns ^H1481 among ^H8432 them, for it happened to all ^H3605 the people ^H5971 through error ^H7684.

27 ‘Also if ^H518 one ^H259 person ^H5315 sins ^H2398 unintentionally ^H7684, then he shall bring ^H7126 near ^H7126 a one year ^H8141 old ^H1323 female ^H5795 goat ^H5795 for a sin ^H2403 offering ^H2403. 28 And the priest ^H3548 shall make ^H3722 atonement ^H3722 before ^H6440 Yahweh ^H3068 for the person ^H5315 who goes ^H7683 astray ^H7683 when he sins ^H2398 unintentionally ^H7684, making ^H3722 atonement ^H3722 for him [fn]that he may be pardoned ^H5545. 29 You shall have ^H1961 one ^H259 law ^H8451 for him who does ^H6213 anything unintentionally ^H7684, for him who is native ^H249 among the sons ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478 and for the sojourner ^H1616 who sojourns ^H1481 among ^H8432 them. 30 But the person ^H5315 who ^H834 does ^H6213 anything with a high ^H7311 hand ^H3027, whether ^H4480 he is native ^H249 or a sojourner ^H1616, that one ^H1931 is blaspheming ^H1442 Yahweh ^H3068; and that person ^H5315 shall be cut ^H3772 off ^H3772 from among ^H7130 his people ^H5971. 31 Because ^H3588 he has despised ^H959 the word ^H1697 of Yahweh ^H3068 and has broken ^H6565 His commandment ^H4687, that person ^H5315 shall be completely ^H3772 cut ^H3772 off ^H3772; his [fn]guilt ^H5771 will be on him.’”

A Sabbath-breaker Put to Death

32 Now the sons ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478 were in the wilderness ^H4057, and they found ^H4672 a man ^H376 gathering ^H7197 wood ^H6086 on the sabbath ^H7676 day ^H3117.

33 And those who found ^H4672 him gathering ^H7197 wood ^H6086 brought ^H7126 him near ^H7126 to Moses ^H4872 and Aaron ^H175 and to all ^H3605 the congregation ^H5712; 34 and they put ^H5117 him in [fn]custody ^H4929 because ^H3588 it had not been [fn]declared ^H6567 what ^H4100 should be done ^H6213 to him. 35 Then Yahweh ^H3068 said ^H559 to Moses ^H4872, “The man ^H376 shall surely ^H4191 be put ^H4191 to ^H4191 death ^H4191; all ^H3605 the congregation ^H5712 shall stone ^H7275 him with stones ^H68 outside ^H4480 H2351 the camp ^H4264.” 36 So all ^H3605 the congregation ^H5712 brought ^H3318 him outside ^{H413 H4480 H2351} the camp ^H4264 and stoned ^H7275 him [fn]to death ^H4191 with stones ^H68, just ^H834 as Yahweh ^H3068 had commanded ^H6680 Moses ^H4872.

37 Yahweh ^H3068 also spoke ^H559 to Moses ^H4872, saying ^H559, 38 “Speak ^H1696 to the sons ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478, and tell ^H559 them that they shall make ^H6213 for themselves tassels ^H6734 on the corners ^H3671 of their garments ^H899 throughout their generations ^H1755, and that they shall put ^H5414 on the tassel ^H6734 of each corner ^H3671 a cord ^H6616 of blue ^H8504. 39 And it shall be a tassel ^H6734 for you [fn]to look ^H7200 at and remember ^H2142 all ^H3605 the commandments ^H4687 of Yahweh ^H3068, so as to do ^H6213 them and not [fn]follow ^H8446 after ^H310 your own heart ^H3824 and your own eyes ^H5869, after ^H310 which ^H834 you played ^H2181 the ^H2181 harlot ^H2181, 40 so ^H4616 that you may remember ^H2142 to do ^H6213 all ^H3605 My commandments ^H4687 and be holy ^H6918 to your God ^H430. 41 I am Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430 who ^H834 brought ^H3318 you out ^H3318 from the land ^H776 of Egypt ^H4714 to be your God ^H430; I am Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430.”
