O God, Do Not Be Quiet
A Song. A Psalm of Asaph.
1 O God H430, do not remain at rest H1824;
Do not be H2790 silent H2790 and, O God H410, do not be H8252 quiet H8252.
2 For behold H2009, Your enemies H340 roar H1993,
And those who hate H8130 You have lifted H5375 up H5375 their heads H7218.
3 They make H6191 shrewd H6191 plans H5475 against H5921 Your people H5971,
And [fn]conspire H3289 together against H5921 Your [fn]treasured H6845 ones.
4 They have said H559, “Come H1980, and let us wipe H3582 them out H3582 [fn]as a nation H1471,
That the name H8034 of Israel H3478 be remembered H2142 no H3808 more H5750.”
5 For they have [fn]conspired H3289 together H3162 with one heart H3820;
Against H5921 You they cut H3772 a covenant H1285:
6 The tents H168 of Edom H123 and the Ishmaelites H3459,
Moab H4124 and the Hagrites H1905;
7 Gebal H1381 and Ammon H5983 and Amalek H6002,
Philistia H6429 with the inhabitants H3427 of Tyre H6865;
8 Assyria H804 also H1571 has joined H3867 with them;
They have become H1961 [fn]the power H2220 of the children H1121 of Lot H3876. [fn]Selah H5542.
9 Do H6213 to them as to Midian H4080,
As to Sisera H5516, and Jabin H2985 at the river H5158 of Kishon H7028,
