To the Church in Sardis

1 “And to the angel ^G32 of the church ^G1577 in Sardis ^G4554 write ^G1125:

This ^G3592 is what He who has ^G2192 the seven ^G2033 Spirits ^G4151 of God ^G2316 and the seven ^G2033 stars ^G792, says ^G3004: ‘I know ^G6063 your deeds ^G2041, that you have ^G2192 a name ^G3686 that you are ^G2198 alive ^G2198, [fn]but you are dead ^G3498.

2 Wake ^G1127 up, and strengthen ^G4741 the things ^G3062 that ^G3062 remain ^G3062, which ^G3739 were ^G3195 about ^G3195 to ^G3195 die ^G599, for I have not found ^G2147 your deeds ^G2041 complete ^G4137 in ^G1799 the ^G1799 sight ^G1799 of ^G1799 My God ^G2316. 3 So ^G3767 remember ^G3421 [fn]what ^G4459 you have received ^G2983 and heard ^G191; and keep ^G5083 it, and repent ^G3340. To the Church in Philadelphia

7 “And to the angel ^G32 of the church ^G1577 in Philadelphia ^G5359 write ^G1125:

This ^G3592 is what He who is holy ^G40, who is true ^G228, who has ^G2192 the key ^G2807 of David ^G1138, who opens ^G455 and no ^G3762 one ^G3762 will shut ^G2808, and who shuts ^G2808 and no ^G3762 one ^G3762 opens ^G455, says ^G3004:

8 ‘I know ^G6063 your [fn]deeds ^G2041. To the Church in Laodicea

14 “And to the angel ^G32 of the church ^G1577 in Laodicea ^G2993 write ^G1125:

This ^G3592 is what the Amen ^G281, the faithful ^G4103 and true ^G228 Witness ^G3144, the [fn]Beginning ^G746 of the creation ^G2937 of God ^G2316, says ^G3004:

15 ‘I know ^G6063 your deeds ^G2041, that you are neither ^G3777 cold ^G5593 nor ^G3777 hot ^G2200. I wish ^G3785 that you were cold ^G5593 or ^G2228 hot ^G2200.

16 So ^G3779 because ^G3754 you are lukewarm ^G5513, and neither ^G3777 hot ^G2200 nor ^G3777 cold ^G5593, I will ^G3195 [fn]spit ^G1692 you out of My mouth ^G4750. 17 Because ^G3754 you say ^G3004, “I am ^G1510 rich ^G4145, and have become ^G4147 wealthy ^G4147, and have ^G2192 need ^G5532 of nothing ^G3762,” and you do not know ^G6063 that you are wretched ^G5005 and pitiable ^G1652 and poor ^G4434 and blind ^G5185 and naked ^G1131. 18 I advise ^G4823 you to buy ^G59 from Me gold ^G5553 refined ^G4448 by fire ^G4442 so ^G2443 that you may become ^G4147 rich ^G4147, and white ^G3022 garments ^G2440 so ^G2443 that you may clothe ^G4016 yourself, and that the shame ^G152 of your nakedness ^G1132 will not be manifested ^G5319; and eye ^G2854 salve ^G2854 to anoint ^G1472 your eyes ^G3788 so ^G2443 that you may see ^G991. 19 Those ^G3745 whom ^G3745 I love ^G5368, I reprove ^G1651 and discipline ^G3811. Therefore ^G3767 be zealous ^G6041 and repent ^G3340. 20 Behold ^G2400, I stand ^G2476 at the door ^G2374 and knock ^G2925. If ^G1437 anyone ^G5100 hears ^G191 My voice ^G5456 and opens ^G455 the door ^G2374, I will come ^G1525 in ^G1525 to him and will dine ^G1172 with him, and he with Me. 21 He who overcomes ^G3528, I will grant ^G1325 to him to sit ^G2523 down ^G2523 with Me on My throne ^G2362, as I also ^G2532 overcame ^G3528 and sat ^G2523 down ^G2523 with My Father ^G3962 on His throne ^G2362. 22 He who has ^G2192 an ear ^G3775, let him hear ^G191 what ^G5101 the Spirit ^G4151 says ^G3004 to the churches ^G1577.’”
