The Lamps and the Bread Before Yahweh

1 Then Yahweh ^H3068 spoke ^H1696 to Moses ^H4872, saying ^H559,

2 “Command ^H6680 the sons ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478 that they bring ^H3947 to you clear ^H2134 oil ^H8081 from beaten ^H3795 olives ^H2132 for the [fn]light ^H3974, to make a lamp ^H5216 [fn]burn ^H5927 continually ^H8548. 3 Outside ^H4480 H2351 the veil ^H6532 of testimony ^H5715 in the tent ^H168 of meeting ^H4150, Aaron ^H175 shall keep ^H6186 it in ^H6186 order ^H6186 from evening ^H6153 to morning ^H1242 before ^H6440 Yahweh ^H3068 continually ^H8548; it shall be a perpetual ^H5769 statute ^H2708 throughout your generations ^H1755. 4 He shall keep ^H6186 the lamps ^H5216 in ^H6186 order ^H6186 on the pure ^H2889 gold lampstand ^H4501 before ^H6440 Yahweh ^H3068 continually ^H8548.

5 “Then you shall take ^H3947 fine ^H5560 flour ^H5560 and bake ^H644 twelve ^H8147 H6240 cakes ^H2471 with it; two-tenths ^H8147 H6241 of an ephah shall be in each ^H259 cake ^H2471. 6 And you shall set ^H7760 them in two ^H8147 rows ^H4635, six ^H8337 to a row ^H4635, on the pure ^H2889 gold table ^H7979 before ^H6440 Yahweh ^H3068. 7 And you shall put ^H5414 pure ^H2134 frankincense ^H3828 on each row ^H4635 that it may be a memorial ^H234 portion ^H234 for the bread ^H3899, even an offering ^H801 by ^H801 fire ^H801 to Yahweh ^H3068. 8 Every sabbath ^H7676 day ^H3117 he shall set ^H6186 it in ^H6186 order ^H6186 before ^H6440 Yahweh ^H3068 continually ^H8548; it is an everlasting ^H5769 covenant ^H1285 [fn]for the sons ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478. 9 And it shall be for Aaron ^H175 and his sons ^H1121, and they shall eat ^H398 it in a holy ^H6918 place ^H4725; for it is most ^H6944 holy ^H6944 to him from the offerings ^H801 to Yahweh ^H3068 by ^H801 fire ^H801, his portion ^H2706 forever ^H5769.”

13 Then Yahweh ^H3068 spoke ^H1696 to Moses ^H4872, saying ^H559, 14 “Bring ^H3318 the one who has cursed ^H7043 outside ^{H413 H4480 H2351} the camp ^H4264, and let all ^H3605 who heard ^H8085 him lay ^H5564 their hands ^H3027 on his head ^H7218; then let all ^H3605 the congregation ^H5712 stone ^H7275 him. 15 And you shall speak ^H1696 to the sons ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478, saying ^H559, ‘If ^H3588 anyone ^H376 curses ^H7043 his God ^H430, then he will bear ^H5375 his sin ^H2399. 16 Moreover, the one who blasphemes ^H5344 the name ^H8034 of Yahweh ^H3068 shall surely ^H4191 be put ^H4191 to ^H4191 death ^H4191; all ^H3605 the congregation ^H5712 shall certainly ^H7275 stone ^H7275 him. The sojourner ^H1616 as well as the native ^H249, when he blasphemes ^H5344 the Name ^H8034, shall be put ^H4191 to ^H4191 death ^H4191.

An Eye for an Eye

17 ‘If ^H3588 a man ^H376 strikes ^H5221 down the life ^H5315 of any ^H3605 human ^H120 being ^H5315, he shall surely ^H4191 be put ^H4191 to ^H4191 death ^H4191.

18 And the one who strikes ^H5221 down the life ^H5315 of an animal ^H929 shall make ^H7999 restitution ^H7999 for it ^H7999, life ^H5315 for life ^H5315. 19 If ^H3588 a man ^H376 [fn]injures ^H5414 H3971 his neighbor ^H5997, just ^H834 as he has done ^H6213, so ^H3651 it shall be done ^H6213 to him: 20 fracture ^H7667 for fracture ^H7667, eye ^H5869 for eye ^H5869, tooth ^H8127 for tooth ^H8127; just ^H834 as he has [fn]injured ^H5414 H3971 a man ^H120, so ^H3651 it shall be [fn]inflicted ^H5414 on him. 21 Thus the one who strikes ^H5221 down ^H5221 an animal ^H929 shall make ^H7999 restitution ^H7999 for it ^H7999, but the one who strikes ^H5221 down ^H5221 a man ^H120 shall be put ^H4191 to ^H4191 death ^H4191. 22 There shall be one ^H259 standard of judgment ^H4941 for you; it shall be for the sojourner ^H1616 as well as the native ^H249, for I am Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430.’” 23 Then Moses ^H4872 spoke ^H1696 to the sons ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478, and they brought ^H3318 the one who had cursed ^H7043 outside ^{H413 H4480 H2351} the camp ^H4264 and stoned ^H7275 him with stones ^H68. Thus the sons ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478 did ^H6213, just ^H834 as Yahweh ^H3068 had commanded ^H6680 Moses ^H4872.
