Ephesians, the Epistle to The:
was written by the apostle St. Paul during his first captivity at Rome (Acts 28:16) apparently immediately after he had written the Epistle to the Colossians and during that period (perhaps the early part of A.D. 62) when his imprisonment had not assumed the severer character which seems to have marked its close. SEE [COLOSSIANS, THE EPISTLE TO THE]. This epistle was addressed to the Christian church at Ephesus. SEE [EPHESUS]. Its contents may be divided into two portions, the first mainly doctrinal, chapter 1-3, the second hortatory and practical.
The Blue Letter Bible ministry and the BLB Institute hold to the historical, conservative Christian faith, which includes a firm belief in the inerrancy of Scripture. Since the text and audio content provided by BLB represent a range of evangelical traditions, all of the ideas and principles conveyed in the resource materials are not necessarily affirmed, in total, by this ministry.
