Engannim:
(fountain of the garden).
(1.) A city in the low country of Judah, named between Zanoah and Tappuah (Joshua 15:34).
(2.) A city on the border of Issachar (Joshua 19:21) allotted with its "suburbs" to the Gershonite Levites (Joshua 21:29) probably Jenin, the first village encountered on the ascent from the great plain of Esdraelon into the hills of the central country.
The Blue Letter Bible ministry and the BLB Institute hold to the historical, conservative Christian faith, which includes a firm belief in the inerrancy of Scripture. Since the text and audio content provided by BLB represent a range of evangelical traditions, all of the ideas and principles conveyed in the resource materials are not necessarily affirmed, in total, by this ministry.
