Bounty, Bountifully:

"a blessing," has the meaning of "bounty" in 2Cr 9:5, of the offering sent by the church at Corinth to their needy brethren in Judaea.

Note: In the next verse the adverb "bountifully" is a translation of the phrase ep'eulogiais, lit., "with blessings" (RV marg.), that is, that blessings may accrue.

Bounty, Bountifully:

from haplous, "simple, single," is translated "bountifulness" in 2Cr 9:11, AV; RV, "liberality" (marg., "singleness"); cp. 2Cr 8:2; 9:13; from sincerity of mind springs "liberality." The thought of sincerity is present in Rom 12:8; 2Cr 11:3; Eph 6:5; Col 3:22.

"grace," is rendered, "bounty" in 1Cr 16:3, RV, (AV, "liberality"), by metonymy for a material gift.

lit., "fatness" (from hadros, "thick, well-grown"), is used of a monetary gift, in 2Cr 8:20, AV, "abundance," RV, "bounty."
