Ismachiah:
(whom Jehovah upholds or hears)
(1.) A Levite who was one of the overseers of offerings during the revival under King Hezekiah (2 Chronicles 31:13). (B.C. 776)
(2.) A Gibeonite, one of the chiefs of those warriors, who joined David at Ziklag (1 Chronicles 12:4). (B.C. 1064)
The Blue Letter Bible ministry and the BLB Institute hold to the historical, conservative Christian faith, which includes a firm belief in the inerrancy of Scripture. Since the text and audio content provided by BLB represent a range of evangelical traditions, all of the ideas and principles conveyed in the resource materials are not necessarily affirmed, in total, by this ministry.
