Suffer:

"to do wrong, injustice" (a, negative, dike, "right"), is used in the Passive Voice in 2Pe 2:13, RV, "suffering wrong" (some texts have komizo, "to receive," AV); there is a play upon words here which may be brought out thus, "being defrauded (of the wages of fraud)," a use of the verb illustrated in the papyri.
