The men of Ephraim were called together and crossed the Jordan to Zaphon. They said to Jephthah, “Why have you crossed over to fight against the Ammonites but didn’t call us to go with you? We will burn your house with you in it! ”
Now the men H376 of Ephraim H669 were summoned H6817, and they crossed H5674 [fn]to Zaphon H6829; and they said H559 to Jephthah H3316, “Why H4069 did you cross H5674 over H5674 to fight H3898 against the sons H1121 of Ammon H5983 without H3808 calling H7121 us to go H1980 with you? We will burn H8313 H784 your house H1004 down H8313 on you!”
Then the men H376 of Ephraim H669 were summoned H6817, and they crossed H5674 [fn]to Zaphon H6829 and said H559 to Jephthah H3316, “Why H4069 did you cross H5674 over H5674 to fight H3898 against the sons H1121 of Ammon H5983, but did not H3808 call H7121 us to go H1980 with you? We will burn H8313 your house H1004 down on you.”
The men of [the tribe of] Ephraim were summoned [to action], and they crossed over to Zaphon and said to Jephthah, “Why did you cross over to fight with the Ammonites without calling us to go with you? [For that] we will burn your house down upon you.”
وَاجْتَمَعَ رِجَالُ أَفْرَايِمَ وَعَبَرُوا إِلَى جِهَةِ الشِّمَالِ، وَقَالُوا لِيَفْتَاحَ: «لِمَاذَا عَبَرْتَ لِمُحَارَبَةِ بَنِي عَمُّونَ وَلَمْ تَدْعُنَا لِلذَّهَابِ مَعَكَ؟ نُحْرِقُ بَيْتَكَ عَلَيْكَ بِنَارٍ».
