فَتَعْمَلُ مَعْرُوفًا مَعَ عَبْدِكَ، لأَنَّكَ بِعَهْدِ الرَّبِّ أَدْخَلْتَ عَبْدَكَ مَعَكَ. وَإِنْ كَانَ فِيَّ إِثْمٌ فَاقْتُلْنِي أَنْتَ، وَلِمَاذَا تَأْتِي بِي إِلَى أَبِيكَ؟».

أَمَّا أَنْتَ فَتَكُونُ قَدْ صَنَعْتَ خَيْراً مَعَ خَادِمِكَ، وَفَاءً بِمَا قَطَعْتَ لَهُ مِنْ عَهْدٍ أَشْهَدْتَ عَلَيْهِ الرَّبَّ. وَإِنْ كَانَ فِيَّ إِثمٌ فَخَيْرٌ أَنْ تَقْتُلَنِي أَنْتَ مِنْ أَنْ تُسْلِمَنِي لأَبِيكَ».
