The priest told him, “There is no ordinary bread on hand. However, there is consecrated bread, but the young men may eat it[fn] only if they have kept themselves from women.”
فَأَجَابَ الْكَاهِنُ دَاوُدَ وَقَالَ: «لاَ يُوجَدُ خُبْزٌ مُحَلَّلٌ تَحْتَ يَدِي، وَلكِنْ يُوجَدُ خُبْزٌ مُقَدَّسٌ إِذَا كَانَ الْغِلْمَانُ قَدْ حَفِظُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ لاَ سِيَّمَا مِنَ النِّسَاءِ».
