فَقَالَتْ سَارَايُ لأَبْرَامَ: «ظُلْمِي عَلَيْكَ! أَنَا دَفَعْتُ جَارِيَتِي إِلَى حِضْنِكَ، فَلَمَّا رَأَتْ أَنَّهَا حَبِلَتْ صَغُرْتُ فِي عَيْنَيْهَا. يَقْضِي الرَّبُّ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكَ».

فَقَالَتْ سَارَايُ لأَبْرَامَ: «لِيَقَعْ ظُلْمِي عَلَيْكَ، فَأَنَا قَدْ زَوَّجْتُكَ مِنْ جَارِيَتِي وَحِينَ أَدْرَكَتْ أَنَّهَا حَامِلٌ هِنْتُ فِي عَيْنَيْهَا. لِيَقْضِ الرَّبُّ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكَ».
