فَقَالَ مَلِكُ بَنِي عَمُّونَ لِرُسُلِ يَفْتَاحَ: «لأَنَّ إِسْرَائِيلَ قَدْ أَخَذَ أَرْضِي عِنْدَ صُعُودِهِ مِنْ مِصْرَ، مِنْ أَرْنُونَ إِلَى الْيَبُّوقِ وَإِلَى الأُرْدُنِّ. فَالآنَ رُدَّهَا بِسَلاَمٍ».
