وَتَقَدَّمَ عَشْرَةُ آلافِ رَجُلٍ مِنْ خِيرَةِ مُحَارِبِي إِسْرَائِيلَ مِنْ مُقَابِلِ جِبْعَةَ، فَاشْتَدَّتِ الْمَعْرَكَةُ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يُدْرِكَ الْبَنْيَامِينِيُّونَ أَنَّ الْكَارِثَةَ قَدْ أَحَاقَتْ بِهِمْ.
