وَذَهَبَ دَاوُدُ مِنْ هُنَاكَ إِلَى مِصْفَاةِ مُوآبَ، وَقَالَ لِمَلِكِ مُوآبَ: «لِيَخْرُجْ أَبِي وَأُمِّي إِلَيْكُمْ حَتَّى أَعْلَمَ مَاذَا يَصْنَعُ لِيَ اللهُ».

ثُمَّ انْتَقَلَ دَاوُدُ مِنْ هُنَاكَ إِلَى مِصْفَاةِ مُوآبَ، وَقَالَ لِمَلِكِ مُوآبَ: «دَعْ أَبِي وَأُمِّي فِي عُهْدَتِكُمْ رَيْثَمَا أَعْلَمُ مَا يَصْنَعُ بِيَ اللهُ».
