The LORD God said, “Since the man has become like one of us, knowing good and evil, he must not reach out, take from the tree of life, eat, and live forever.”
Then the LORD H3068 God H430 said H559, “Behold H2005, the man H120 has become H1961 like one H259 of Us, knowing H3045 good H2896 and evil H7451; and now H6258, he might H6435 reach H7971 out H7971 with his hand H3027, and take H3947 fruit also H1571 from the tree H6086 of life H2416, and eat H398, and live H2421 forever H5769”—
Then Yahweh H3068 God H430 said H559, “Behold H2005, the man H120 has become H1961 like one H259 of Us [fn]to know H3045 good H2896 and evil H7451; and now H6258, lest H6435 he send H7971 forth his hand H3027 and take H3947 also H1571 from the tree H6086 of life H2416 and eat H398 and live H2421 forever H5769”—
And the LORD God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us (Father, Son, Holy Spirit), knowing [how to distinguish between] good and evil; and now, he might stretch out his hand, and take from the tree of life as well, and eat [its fruit], and live [in this fallen, sinful condition] forever”—
