“And that He raised Him from the dead, no more to return to corruption, He has spoken thus:

‘I will give you the sure mercies of David.’[fn]

For God had promised to raise him from the dead, not leaving him to rot in the grave. He said, ‘I will give you the sacred blessings I promised to David.’[fn]

God raised him from the dead so that he will never be subject to decay. As God has said, “ ‘I will give you the holy and sure blessings promised to David.’[fn]

And as for the fact that he raised him from the dead, no more to return to corruption, he has spoken in this way,
“‘I will give you the holy and sure blessings of David.’

“As to his raising him from the dead, never to return to decay, he has spoken in this way, I will give you the holy and sure promises of David.

As for the fact that He raised Him from the dead, never again to return to decay, He has spoken in this way: ‘I WILL GIVE YOU THE HOLY AND FAITHFUL MERCIES OF DAVID.’

“And [as for the fact] that He raised Him from the dead, never again to return to decay [in the grave], He has spoken in this way: ‘I WILL GIVE YOU THE HOLY AND SURE blessings OF DAVID [those blessings and mercies that were promised to him].’

But regarding the fact that he has raised Jesus from the dead, never again to be in a state of decay, God has spoken in this way: 'I will give you the holy and trustworthy promises made to David.'

وَأَمَّا أَنَّ اللهَ قَدْ أَقَامَ يَسُوعَ مِنْ بَيْنِ الأَمْوَاتِ وَلَنْ يَدَعَ الْفَسَادَ يَنَالُ مِنْهُ فِيمَا بَعْدُ، فَقَدْ وَرَدَ فِي قَوْلِهِ: سَأَمْنَحُكُمُ الْبَرَكَاتِ الْمُقَدَّسَةَ الصَّادِقَةَ الَّتِي وَعَدْتُ بِها دَاوُدَ.

إِنَّهُ أَقَامَهُ مِنَ الأَمْوَاتِ، غَيْرَ عَتِيدٍ أَنْ يَعُودَ أَيْضًا إِلَى فَسَادٍ، فَهكَذَا قَالَ: إِنِّي سَأُعْطِيكُمْ مَرَاحِمَ دَاوُدَ الصَّادِقَةَ.
