When the king of Egypt was told that the people had fled, Pharaoh and his officials changed their minds about the people and said, “What have we done? We have released Israel from serving us.”
When the king H4428 of Egypt H4714 was told H5046 that the people H5971 had fled H1272, [fn]Pharaoh H6547 and his servants H5650 had H2015 a H2015 change H2015 of heart H3824 toward H413 the people H5971, and they said H559, “What H4100 is this H2088 that we have done H6213, that we have let H7971 Israel H3478 go H7971 from serving H5647 us?”

When the king of Egypt was told that the people had fled, Pharaoh and his servants had a change of heart toward the people, and they said, “What is this that we have done? We have let Israel go from serving us!”
فَلَمَّا أُخْبِرَ مَلِكُ مِصْرَ أَنَّ الشَّعْبَ قَدْ هَرَبَ، تَغَيَّرَ قَلْبُ فِرْعَوْنَ وَعَبِيدِهِ عَلَى الشَّعْبِ. فَقَالُوا: «مَاذَا فَعَلْنَا حَتَّى أَطْلَقْنَا إِسْرَائِيلَ مِنْ خِدْمَتِنَا؟»
