“When a man takes a bride, he must not go out with the army or be liable for any duty. He is free to stay at home for one year, so that he can bring joy to the wife he has married.
“When H3588 a man H376 takes H3947 a new H2319 wife H802, he shall not go H3318 out H3318 with the army H6635 nor H3808 be charged H5674 with any H3605 duty H1697; he shall be free H5355 at home H1004 one H259 year H8141 and shall give H8055 gladness H8055 to his wife H802 whom H834 he has taken H3947.
“When a man takes a new wife, he shall not go out [to fight] with the army nor be charged with any duty; he shall be free at home for one year and shall bring happiness to his wife whom he has taken.
«إِذَا اتَّخَذَ رَجُلٌ امْرَأَةً جَدِيدَةً، فَلاَ يَخْرُجْ فِي الْجُنْدِ، وَلاَ يُحْمَلْ عَلَيْهِ أَمْرٌ مَّا. حُرًّا يَكُونُ فِي بَيْتِهِ سَنَةً وَاحِدَةً، وَيَسُرُّ امْرَأَتَهُ الَّتِي أَخَذَهَا.
