Samuel told them, “If you are returning to the LORD with all your heart, get rid of the foreign gods and the Ashtoreths that are among you, set your hearts on the LORD, and worship only him. Then he will rescue you from the Philistines.”
Then Samuel H8050 spoke H559 to all H3605 the house H1004 of Israel H3478, saying H559, “If H518 you are returning H7725 to the LORD H3068 with all H3605 your heart H3824, then remove H5493 the foreign H5236 gods H430 and the Ashtaroth H6252 from among H8432 you, and direct H3559 your hearts H3824 to the LORD H3068 and serve H5647 Him alone H905; and He will save H5337 you from the hand H3027 of the Philistines H6430.”
Then Samuel H8050 spoke H559 to all H3605 the house H1004 of Israel H3478, saying H559, “If H518 you are to return H7725 to Yahweh H3068 with all H3605 your heart H3824, then remove H5493 the foreign H5236 gods H430 and the Ashtaroth H6252 from among H8432 you and set H3559 your hearts H3824 toward Yahweh H3068 and serve H5647 Him alone H905; and He will deliver H5337 you from the hand H3027 of the Philistines H6430.”
Then Samuel said to all the house of Israel, “If you are returning to the LORD with all your heart, remove the foreign gods and the Ashtaroth (pagan goddesses) from among you and direct your hearts to the LORD and serve Him only; and He will rescue you from the hand of the Philistines.”
وَكَلَّمَ صَمُوئِيلُ كُلَّ بَيْتِ إِسْرَائِيلَ قَائِلاً: «إِنْ كُنْتُمْ بِكُلِّ قُلُوبِكُمْ رَاجِعِينَ إِلَى الرَّبِّ، فَانْزِعُوا الآلِهَةَ الْغَرِيبَةَ وَالْعَشْتَارُوثَ مِنْ وَسْطِكُمْ، وَأَعِدُّوا قُلُوبَكُمْ لِلرَّبِّ وَاعْبُدُوهُ وَحْدَهُ، فَيُنْقِذَكُمْ مِنْ يَدِ الْفِلِسْطِينِيِّينَ».
