فَأَرْسَلَ الْمَلِكُ وَدَعَا شِمْعِيَ وَقَالَ لَهُ: «أَمَا اسْتَحْلَفْتُكَ بِالرَّبِّ وَأَشْهَدْتُ عَلَيْكَ قَائِلاً: إِنَّكَ يَوْمَ تَخْرُجُ وَتَذْهَبُ إِلَى هُنَا وَهُنَالِكَ، اعْلَمَنَّ بِأَنَّكَ مَوْتًا تَمُوتُ؟ فَقُلْتَ لِي: حَسَنٌ الأَمْرُ. قَدْ سَمِعْتُ.
