فَنَزَلَ بِالشَّعْبِ إِلَى الْمَاءِ. وَقَالَ الرَّبُّ لِجِدْعُونَ: «كُلُّ مَنْ يَلَغُ بِلِسَانِهِ مِنَ الْمَاءِ كَمَا يَلَغُ الْكَلْبُ فَأَوْقِفْهُ وَحْدَهُ. وَكَذَا كُلُّ مَنْ جَثَا عَلَى رُكْبَتَيْهِ لِلشُّرْبِ».
