Translations for 1 Thessalonians 2:7
But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherisheth her children:

© Info

But we were gentle among you, just as a nursing mother cherishes her own children.

© Info

As apostles of Christ we certainly had a right to make some demands of you, but instead we were like children[fn] among you. Or we were like a mother feeding and caring for her own children.

© Info

Instead, we were like young children[fn] among you. Just as a nursing mother cares for her children,

© Info

But we were gentle[fn] among you, like a nursing mother taking care of her own children.

© Info

Although we could have been a burden as Christ’s apostles, instead we were gentle[fn] among you, as a nurse[fn] nurtures her own children.

© Info

But we [fn]proved to be [fn]gentle [fn]among you. As a nursing mother [fn]tenderly cares for her own children,

© Info

But we [fn]proved to be [fn]gentle [fn]among you, as a nursing mother [fn]tenderly cares for her own children.

© Info

But we [fn]proved to be [fn]gentle [fn]among you, as a nursing mother [fn]tenderly cares for her own children.

© Info

But we behaved gently when we were among you, like a devoted mother tenderly caring for her own children.

© Info

although we could have imposed our weight as apostles of Christ; instead we became little children among you. Like a nursing mother caring for her own children,

© Info

But we were gentle among you, like a nurse taking care of her children.

© Info

But we were gentle in the midst of you, as when a nurse cherisheth her own children:

© Info

But we became gentle in your midst, as a nurse may cherish her own children,

© Info

but have been gentle in the midst of you, as a nurse would cherish her own children.

© Info

But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherisheth her children:

© Info

But we were gentle among of you, as when a nurse cherishes her own children.

© Info

© Info

© Info

© Info

© Info

But we were gentle among you, like a woman caring for her little ones:

© Info

© Info

© Info

© Info

hätten euch auch mögen schwer sein als Christi Apostel. Aber wir sind mütterlich gewesen bei euch, gleichwie eine Amme ihr Kind pflegt;

© Info

© Info

The Textus Receptus (latin, "Received Text") is the Greek text originally compiled by Erasmus around 1516. Though the earliest work was prepared by Desiderius Erasmus, his work was later revised by Robert Estienne (or, Stephanus) and further revised by Theodore Beza. The text produced by each is substantially the same, aside from some minor variations. The Blue Letter Bible utilizes Stephanus' edition from 1550.
