Now G1161 on the next G1887 day G1887, wanting G1014 to know G1097 for certain G804 why G5101 Paul had been accused G2723 by the Jews G2453, he released G3089 him and ordered G2753 the chief G749 priests G749 and all G3956 the [fn]Council G4892 to assemble G4905, and he brought G2609 Paul G3972 down G2609 and placed G2476 him before G1519 them.
But on the next G1887 day G1887, wishing G1014 to know G1097 for certain G804 why G5101 he had been accused G2723 by the Jews G2453, he released G3089 him and ordered G2753 the chief G749 priests G749 and all G3956 the Sanhedrin G4892 to come G4905 together G4905, and brought G2609 Paul G3972 down G2609 and set G2476 him before G1519 them.
But on the next day, wanting to know the real reason why Paul was being accused by the Jews, he released him and ordered the chief priests and the whole Council (Sanhedrin, Jewish High Court) to assemble; and brought Paul down and presented him before them.
وَفِي الْغَدِ إِذْ كَانَ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَعْلَمَ الْيَقِينَ: لِمَاذَا يَشْتَكِي الْيَهُودُ عَلَيْهِ؟ حَلَّهُ مِنَ الرِّبَاطِ، وَأَمَرَ أَنْ يَحْضُرَ رُؤَسَاءُ الْكَهَنَةِ وَكُلُّ مَجْمَعِهِمْ. فَأَحْضَرَ بُولُسَ وَأَقَامَهُ لَدَيْهِمْ.
The Textus Receptus (latin, "Received Text") is the Greek text originally compiled by Erasmus around 1516. Though the earliest work was prepared by Desiderius Erasmus, his work was later revised by Robert Estienne (or, Stephanus) and further revised by Theodore Beza. The text produced by each is substantially the same, aside from some minor variations. The Blue Letter Bible utilizes Stephanus' edition from 1550.
