When the angels had left them and returned to heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go straight to Bethlehem and see what has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.”
When G5613 the angels G32 had departed G565 from them into heaven G3772, the shepherds G4166 began saying G2980 to one G240 another G240, “Let’s go G1330 straight G1330 to Bethlehem G965, then G1211, and see G3708 this G3778 thing G4487 that has happened G1096, which G3739 the Lord G2962 has made G1107 known G1107 to us.”
And G2532 it happened G1096 that when G5613 the angels G32 had gone G565 away G565 from them into heaven G3772, the shepherds G4166 began saying G2980 to one G240 another G240, “Let us go G1330 to Bethlehem G965 then G1211, and see G3708 this G3778 thing G4487 that has happened G1096 which G3739 the Lord G2962 has made G1107 known G1107 to us.”
When the angels had gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds began saying one to another, “Let us go straight to Bethlehem, and see this [wonderful] thing that has happened which the Lord has made known to us.”
وَلَمَّا مَضَتْ عَنْهُمُ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ، قَالَ الرجال الرُّعَاةُ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ:«لِنَذْهَبِ الآنَ إِلَى بَيْتِ لَحْمٍ وَنَنْظُرْ هذَا الأَمْرَ الْوَاقِعَ الَّذِي أَعْلَمَنَا بِهِ الرَّبُّ».
The Textus Receptus (latin, "Received Text") is the Greek text originally compiled by Erasmus around 1516. Though the earliest work was prepared by Desiderius Erasmus, his work was later revised by Robert Estienne (or, Stephanus) and further revised by Theodore Beza. The text produced by each is substantially the same, aside from some minor variations. The Blue Letter Bible utilizes Stephanus' edition from 1550.
