“For this people’s heart has grown callous;
their ears are hard of hearing,
and they have shut their eyes;
otherwise they might see with their eyes,
and hear with their ears, and
understand with their hearts,
and turn back —
and I would heal them.
FOR THE HEART G2588 OF THIS G3778 PEOPLE G2992 HAS BECOME G3975 DULL G3975,
WITH THEIR EARS G3775 THEY SCARCELY G917 HEAR G191,
AND THEY HAVE CLOSED G2576 THEIR EYES G3788,
OTHERWISE G3379 THEY MIGHT SEE G3708 WITH THEIR EYES G3788,
HEAR G191 WITH THEIR EARS G3775,
UNDERSTAND G4920 WITH THEIR HEART G2588, AND RETURN G1994,
AND I WOULD HEAL G2390 THEM.’
FOR THE HEART G2588 OF THIS G3778 PEOPLE G2992 HAS BECOME G3975 DULL G3975,
AND G2532 WITH THEIR EARS G3775 THEY SCARCELY G917 HEAR G191,
AND THEY HAVE CLOSED G2576 THEIR EYES G3788,

FOR THIS NATION’S HEART HAS GROWN HARD,

The Textus Receptus (latin, "Received Text") is the Greek text originally compiled by Erasmus around 1516. Though the earliest work was prepared by Desiderius Erasmus, his work was later revised by Robert Estienne (or, Stephanus) and further revised by Theodore Beza. The text produced by each is substantially the same, aside from some minor variations. The Blue Letter Bible utilizes Stephanus' edition from 1550.
