Joab replied to him, “You are not the man to take good news today. You may do it another day, but today you aren’t taking good news, because the king’s son is dead.”
فَقَالَ لَهُ يُوآبُ: «مَا أَنْتَ صَاحِبُ بِشَارَةٍ فِي هذَا الْيَوْمِ. فِي يَوْمٍ آخَرَ تُبَشِّرُ، وَهذَا الْيَوْمَ لاَ تُبَشِّرُ مِنْ أَجْلِ أَنَّ ابْنَ الْمَلِكِ قَدْ مَاتَ».
The Latin Vulgate was translated from the original languages into Latin by Jerome in A.D. 405. For over a millennium, it remained as the preferred translation of the church. This version of the Bible is in the public domain.
