“But if the man encounters an engaged woman in the open country, and he seizes and rapes her, only the man who raped her must die.
“However, if the man finds the girl who is engaged (legally betrothed) in the [open] field, and seizes her and is intimate with her [by force], then only the man who lies with her shall be put to death.
وَلكِنْ إِنْ وَجَدَ الرَّجُلُ الْفَتَاةَ الْمَخْطُوبَةَ فِي الْحَقْلِ وَأَمْسَكَهَا الرَّجُلُ وَاضْطَجَعَ مَعَهَا، يَمُوتُ الرَّجُلُ الَّذِي اضْطَجَعَ مَعَهَا وَحْدَهُ.
