وَكَلَمَ عِفْرُونَ فِي مَسَامِعِ شَعْبِ الأَرْضِ قَائِلاً: «بَلْ إِنْ كُنْتَ أَنْتَ إِيَّاهُ فَلَيْتَكَ تَسْمَعُنِي. أُعْطِيكَ ثَمَنَ الْحَقْلِ. خُذْ مِنِّي فَأَدْفِنَ مَيْتِي هُنَاكَ».
