David and his men arrived in Ziklag on the third day. The Amalekites had raided the Negev and attacked and burned Ziklag.
Then it happened H1961, when David H1732 and his men H376 came H935 to Ziklag H6860 on the third H7992 day H3117, that the Amalekites H6003 had carried H6584 out H6584 an H6584 attack H6584 on the [fn]Negev H5045 and on Ziklag H6860, and had [fn]overthrown H5221 Ziklag H6860 and burned H8313 it with fire H784;
Now it happened when David and his men came [home] to Ziklag on the third day, [they found] that the Amalekites had made a raid on the Negev (the South country) and on Ziklag, and had overthrown Ziklag and burned it with fire;
وَلَمَّا جَاءَ دَاوُدُ وَرِجَالُهُ إِلَى صِقْلَغَ فِي الْيَوْمِ الثَّالِثِ، كَانَ الْعَمَالِقَةُ قَدْ غَزَوْا الْجَنُوبَ وَصِقْلَغَ، وَضَرَبُوا صِقْلَغَ وَأَحْرَقُوهَا بِالنَّارِ،
