“Do not make an idol for yourself in the shape of anything in the heavens above or on the earth below or in the waters under the earth.
‘You shall not make for yourself an idol [as an object to worship], or any likeness (form, manifestation) of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth.
لاَ تَصْنَعْ لَكَ تِمْثَالاً مَنْحُوتًا صُورَةً مَّا مِمَّا فِي السَّمَاءِ مِنْ فَوْقُ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ مِنْ أَسْفَلُ وَمَا فِي الْمَاءِ مِنْ تَحْتِ الأَرْضِ.
