فَلَمَّا رَأَتْ رَاحِيلُ أَنَّهَا لَمْ تَلِدْ لِيَعْقُوبَ، غَارَتْ رَاحِيلُ مِنْ أُخْتِهَا، وَقَالَتْ لِيَعْقُوبَ: «هَبْ لِي بَنِينَ، وَإِلاَّ فَأَنَا أَمُوتُ!».
