When Moses entered the tent of meeting to speak with the LORD, he heard the voice speaking to him from above the mercy seat that was on the ark of the testimony, from between the two cherubim. He spoke to him that way.
Now when Moses H4872 entered H935 the tent H168 of meeting H4150 to speak H1696 with Him, he heard H8085 the voice H6963 speaking H1696 to him from above H5921 the [fn]atoning H3727 cover H3727 that was on the ark H727 of the testimony H5715, from between H996 the two H8147 [fn]cherubim H3742; so He spoke H1696 to him.

Now when Moses went into the Tent of Meeting (tabernacle) to speak with the LORD, he heard the voice speaking to him from above the mercy seat (the gold cover) that was on the ark of the Testimony from between the two cherubim; and He spoke [by special revelation] to him.
فَلَمَّا دَخَلَ مُوسَى إِلَى خَيْمَةِ الاجْتِمَاعِ لِيَتَكَلَّمَ مَعَهُ، كَانَ يَسْمَعُ الصَّوْتَ يُكَلِّمُهُ مِنْ عَلَى الْغِطَاءِ الَّذِي عَلَى تَابُوتِ الشَّهَادَةِ مِنْ بَيْنِ الْكَرُوبَيْنِ، فَكَلَّمَهُ.
