وَقَالَتْ: دَعُونِي أَلْتَقِطْ وَأَجْمَعْ بَيْنَ الْحُزَمِ وَرَاءَ الْحَصَّادِينَ. فَجَاءَتْ وَمَكَثَتْ مِنَ الصَّبَاحِ إِلَى الآنَ. قَلِيلاً مَّا لَبِثَتْ فِي الْبَيْتِ».

وَطَلَبَتْ قَائِلَةً: دَعُونِي أَلْتَقِطُ وَأَجْمَعُ السَّنَابِلَ الْمُتَسَاقِطَةَ بَيْنَ الْحُزَمِ وَرَاءَ الْحَصَّادِينَ، وَقَدْ ظَلَّتْ تَلْتَقِطُ مِنَ الصَّبَاحِ إِلَى الآنَ، لَمْ تَسْتَرِحْ فِي الظِّلِّ إِلّا قَلِيلاً».
