The men of Israel had sworn an oath at Mizpah: “None of us will give his daughter to a Benjaminite in marriage.”
Now the men of Israel had sworn [an oath] at Mizpah, “None of us shall give his daughter in marriage to [a man of] Benjamin.”
وَرِجَالُ إِسْرَائِيلَ حَلَفُوا فِي الْمِصْفَاةِ قَائِلِينَ: «لاَ يُسَلِّمْ أَحَدٌ مِنَّا ابْنَتَهُ لِبَنْيَامِينَ امْرَأَةً».
