"THE COMING PRINCE"
I. THE NEED FOR HIS COMING.
A. The world today in desperate need of leadership.
1. This generation has not produced any true great leadership.
2. The result is that people are like sheep without a shepherd.
a. They begin to roam and become scattered.
b. They become devoured by wolves.
B. Man's government - one long history of failure.
1. Man is incapable of governing himself.
2. Greed leads to corruption and the ultimate end of each system devised.
C. The problem with our government is that it is run by politicians, and everyone knows what crooks and liars they are.
1. They say you can vote - you have the right to choose.
a. Choose how you want to be robbed.
1. The democrats are robbers.
2. The republicans are robbers too only they do it with more finesse.
b. Who do you choose?
1. The one who made the best promises.
2. Which usually means he's the biggest liar. Johnson warned, that if I voted for Goldwater it would mean that the war...
D. Oh how we need our coming Prince!
1. "And thou shalt give unto Him the throne of David, and He shall order it and establish it in judgment and righteousness..."
2. I really see no escape from our present system.
a. Sure its bad but I don't know of anything better.
b. I would rather live under this system than any other system presently in the world.
c. But when the best that man has to offer is so bad - it's time for the Prince.
d. Jesus said that before He returned, things would get so bad they would be saying - "Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord."
II. GOD'S PREPARATIONS FOR HIS COMING.
A. God has been preparing for millenniums.
B. He has told us the signs preceding His return.
1. He has been setting the stage.
a. Increased earthquakes - The King is coming.
b. Famine.
c. Pestilence.
d. World Wars.
2. In this prophesy of Ezekiel made 2500 years ago.
a. He saw the east gate leading out from the temple grounds shut.
b. It was to remain shut until the Prince came.
c. No man was to enter in by it.
d. Today this gate is sealed shut. With great stones and mortar it is shut.
1. This was not done until the 15th century.
III. YOUR PREPARATION FOR HIS COMING.
A. You must submit to His Lordship now - acknowledge Him as your King today.
1. "For our citizenship is in heaven."
B. He tells us of the joys and glories of His kingdom.
1. No wars - sickness - sorrow - evil - hunger.
2. The world filled with love - righteousness - peace.
C. Nothing can enter that would defile or pollute.
1. In your sinful state you would be rejected.
2. He will cleanse you from your sin and make you a fit subject for His Kingdom.
