I. WORDS OF APPALLING WOE.
A. "I have never seen the righteous forsaken."
1. God did not forsake His people.
a. Egypt.
b. Red Sea.
c. Fiery Furnace.
II. HERE WE SEE AWFULNESS OF SIN & ITS WAGES.
A. Depravity of human heart.
B. Character of the devils, hostility against God.
C. Perfection of divine nature.
D. See depths of sin.
Suicide - Adam.
Fratricide - Cain & Abel.
Deicide - man crucifying Son of God.
E. "The wages of sin is death."
Physical & spiritual.
Physical separation of soul & spirit from body. Spiritual
separation of soul & spirit from God.
III. HERE WE SEE ABSOLUTE HOLINESS OF GOD.
IV. HERE WE SEE EXPLANATION OF GETHSEMANE.
V. HERE WE SEE BASIS FOR OUR SALVATION.
A. His death was death of a curse.
"Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law."
VI. HERE WE SEE SUPREME EVIDENCE OF CHRIST'S LOVE FOR US.
VII. HERE WE SEE RESULT OF EVERY IMPENITENT SOUL.
