The Promise Doctrine

  • The progressive revelation of God’s redemptive plan in history to send His Son.
  • “I will put [appoint] enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring [seed] and her offspring [seed]; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.”
  • God Providentially Cared for Abraham and His Seed in Egypt.
  • God’s covenant blessing was promised to Abraham. (Genesis 12:1-9)
  • God’s covenant blessing saved the promised seed of Abraham. (Genesis 12:10-20)
    • God provided for His Seed in Egypt.
    • God protected His Seed by sending plagues on Egypt.
    • God prospered His Seed as they were delivered from Egypt by plagues.
