O Lord! and is Thy table spread,
And doth Thy cup with truth o'erflow?
Thither be all Thy children led,
And let them all its sweetness know.
Hail, sacred feast which Jesus makes,
Rich banquet of His flesh and blood!
Thrice happy we who here partake
That sacred stream, that heavenly food.
O, let Thy table honored be,
And furnished well with joyful guests;
And may each soul salvation see
That here its sacred pledges tastes.
Nor let Thy spreading Gospel rest
Till through the world Thy truth has run;
Till with this bread all men are blest
Who see the light, or feel the sun.
The Blue Letter Bible ministry and the BLB Institute hold to the historical, conservative Christian faith, which includes a firm belief in the inerrancy of Scripture. Since the text and audio content provided by BLB represent a range of evangelical traditions, all of the ideas and principles conveyed in the resource materials are not necessarily affirmed, in total, by this ministry.
