THE CURRENT TEACHING OF THE MORMON CHURCH:

Holy Ghost is a separate God from Father and Son and is different from Holy Spirit. The Holy Ghost is a person. The Holy Spirit is an influence from the Father and is not personal.

The Mormon Church is confused about the nature of the Holy Ghost. "He (the Holy Ghost) is an immaterial being possessed of a spiritual form and definite proportions." Article of Faith, James E. Talmage. "The Holy Ghost...can be in only one place at one time, and he does not and cannot transform himself into any other form or image than that of the man whom he is, though his power and influence can be manifest at one and the same time through all immensity."
MORMON DOCTRINE, pg. 359.
