面包饼是又小又圆又薄的面包。“量度”这个词的希伯来语是seah。一个“seah”约等于11夸脱。因此，3个“量度”比一蒲式耳略多一点。这样可以产出比三位访客、莎拉和亚伯拉罕可能吃掉的更多的面包。
亚伯拉罕亲自挑选了一头嫩而上等的小牛作为主菜。肉很贵，而且是难得的美食，但亚伯拉罕毫不犹豫地为客人准备了一头小牛。我们看到亚伯拉罕为了给客人提供丰盛的餐食而花费了巨额费用。
他拿了凝乳和牛奶 这是一种配菜，可以带出肉的味道并解渴。“凝乳”一词是希伯来语hemah ，指的是凝乳，很像酸奶。事实上，它是通过搅拌牛奶制成的，就像制作黄油一样（参见撒母耳记下 17:29；箴言 30:33）。它是以色列人的主食，他们甚至从婴儿时期就开始吃它（参见申命记 32:14；以赛亚书 7:15,22）。牛奶在古代世界备受推崇，被视为活力之源。
