雅各继续欺骗以撒，以撒吃下食物，说： “你递给我，我好吃我儿的野味，给你祝福。” （25节）。吃完饭后，以撒请求雅各亲嘴： “我儿，请你近前来与我亲嘴。 ”（26节）。雅各闻到雅各借来的衣服的香味，更加相信了。以撒随后祝福雅各，说：“看哪，我儿的香气如同耶和华赐福之田地的香气一样。” （27节）。以撒既是族长，又是神应许的领受者，因此他的祝福在最终通往耶稣的家谱中意义深远（见马太福音1章）。这次相遇是雅各用诡计取得胜利的关键时刻，这与神先前宣告的长子要服事幼子（创世记25:23）相符。
最后，以撒宣告丰饶： “愿神赐你天上的甘露，地上的肥土，并五谷新酒丰收” （28节），应许地上丰收丰盛，国泰民安。此外，他还宣告了主权，说道： “愿万民侍奉你，列国向你下拜；愿你作你弟兄的主，你母亲的儿子向你下拜” （29节）。这段口述的祝福凸显了雅各的特权地位，并预示着一个强大家族的成长。在祝福的结尾，以撒肯定地说：“咒诅你的，愿你受咒诅；为你祝福的，愿你蒙福” （29节），这与神对亚伯拉罕的应许相呼应：凡与这个蒙拣选的家族结盟的，必蒙神恩待；凡抵挡他们的，必受亏损”（创世记12:3）。
