虽然我们恩慈的神总是在寻找修复我们，包括那论断/审判他人的 "你这人哪"，但事实上我们配受相同的审判。可悲的是，对我们来说，通常是快快地审判他人，且慢慢地悔改。我们总是可以为自己对他人的傲慢态度悔改，接受赦免，并以谦卑的顺服来替代。但是，当我们不这么做时，就是在为神审判的日子 "积蓄忿怒"。
总有一天神会审判全人类。真正的现实是，在世上所不悔改的任何罪行，我们都会将其带到天堂。有句话说得很对，对于物质财富而言，"你不能带走它"，但是我们可以将自己的行为带进天堂。思考 2:4-5 是有趣的：2:5 "积蓄忿怒" 的发生是因为 2:4 中没有悔改所致。貌似我们也可以通过在地上的悔改，将我们的罪行留下。这一观点在约翰一书 1:7-9 中得到了使徒约翰的呼应。
在神审判全人类的那一天，每一个男女都将按着他/她在地上的行为受审判。请回想一下，保罗依然是在指那论断他人的 "你这人哪"，且清楚地表明，这些 "论断/审判" 是在为自己积蓄忿怒，因为他们拒绝悔改，让神此刻在地上处置他们。对于信徒而言，神的审判不会用来决定他们是否配进神的家，因为神已经宣告我们因耶稣的献祭而配得这一福气。对信徒的审判是决定我们的生命/生活会得到怎样的奖赏，或我们会从天父那里得到怎样的认可。
一位好父亲会无条件地接纳自己的孩子，他绝不会因任何事情或情况停止爱自己的孩子，或不为他们寻求最佳利益；孩子们不可能被拒绝。然而，虽然接纳是无条件的，但是同样优秀的父亲也从来不会许可自我毁灭的行为；他会以对孩子有益的行为来设立认可的条件。作为地上的父亲，我们努力成为好的家长，但父神是完美的，并为我们提供完美的接纳，而且是完全无条件的接纳。我们完美的天父也只认可和奖赏那些对我们自己、他人和祂国度有益的行为。
