罪作王叫人死，但耶稣的献祭可以使人因信称义，因为他的行为击败了死亡 (提摩太后书 1:10)。神人耶稣的献祭为我们的罪付上了代价，并藉着相信耶稣基督 (21 节)，我们可以有永生，而非罪带来的死亡 (隔绝)。
当我们以公义的方式生活时 (藉着每天的信心，而非遵循规条)，恩典就要掌管我们的生命，带我们进入神为我们所设定的充实生活中。保罗不只是在谈论从地狱得救，进入天堂，他也写道恩典使我们得自由，向着神顺服地生活，恩典也藉着义作王，引向了一个无可比拟的生活质量，就是新生命，永生的经历透过我们的主耶稣基督变为可能，他使我们与神和好，使我们的生命进入神丰盛的恩典。
