The Bible Says
Daniel 6:25-28 Meaning

Daniel survived his night in the lion's den because he trusted God and God sent His angel to close the mouths of the lions. Darius was very glad to find that Daniel had survived. Daniel's accusers were thrown into the lion's den and quickly met their death.

Daniel landed in the lion's den because Darius signed a decree that prohibited anyone from worshipping or petitioning anyone besides himself for thirty days, effectively declaring himself God. Now, Darius the king wrote to all the peoples, nations and men of every language who were living in all the land declaring that Daniel's God is sovereign. He made a decree that in all the dominion of my kingdom men are to fear and tremble before the God of Daniel;

For He is the living God and enduring forever,
And His kingdom is one which will not be destroyed,
And His dominion will be forever.
He delivers and rescues and performs signs and wonders
In heaven and on earth,
Who has also delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.

Darius recognizes that God is truly a living God who has power and dominion over all. Despite being a king himself, Darius humbles himself before God and declares him truly king. Daniel has remained faithful through his captivity, several kings, positions of power, and threat of death. He trusted God. So this Daniel enjoyed success in the reign of Darius and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.
