The Bible Says
Proverbs 13:15 Meaning

In Proverbs 13:15, Solomon writes, Good understanding produces favor, but the way of the treacherous is hard (v. 15). Understanding has relational fruit. When a person sees clearly and acts wisely, others often respond with trust and respect.

Good understanding produces favor because discernment makes a person steady, fair, and beneficial to those around him. He becomes easier to trust, easier to work with, and more likely to contribute to peace. Wisdom tends to open doors because it blesses community.

But the way of the treacherous is hard. Treachery complicates life. It creates suspicion, conflict, and consequences that make the path rough and exhausting. The hard way is often not imposed from the outside alone; it is generated by crookedness itself.
