Em Provérbios 10:22, Salomão diz: É a bênção de Jeová que enriquece e não a faz seguir de dor alguma (v. 22). Este versículo ensina que a verdadeira abundância não é algo que se cria por si só; ela vem de Deus. Tudo de bom que realmente enriquece a vida o faz porque carrega a Sua bênção.
A riqueza em questão vai além do dinheiro. Inclui a plenitude da vida que advém de receber boas dádivas à maneira de Deus. Quando Deus abençoa, Sua bênção é completa. Não contém veneno oculto. Pode ser desfrutada sem a corrosão interior que muitas vezes acompanha o ganho pecaminoso.
Por isso Salomão diz que Ele não acrescenta tristeza a isso. Riquezas conquistadas por orgulho, ganância ou engano muitas vezes vêm acompanhadas de medo, arrependimento e instabilidade. Mas a bênção de Deus é diferente. Ela pode ser recebida com gratidão e paz porque vem de Suas boas mãos.
