Adelaide Anne Procter (1825-1864) Born: October 30, 1825, Bedford Square, London, England.

Died: February 2, 1864, London, England.

Buried: Catholic cemetery, Kensal Green, England. Composers Henry John Gauntlett and William Vincent Wallace lie nearby.

Procter was the daughter of Bryan Waller Procter, better known as poet and playwright Barry Cornwall. Adelaide began writing hymns after joining the Roman Catholic church in 1851. Her works include:
