Born: November 18, 1786, Eutin, Germany.

Died: June 5, 1826, London, England.

Buried: Originally in Moorfields Chapel, London. Seventeen years later, his remains were moved to Dresden, Germany.

Carl Maria Friedrich Ernst von Weber (1786-1826)

Hampered by a congenital hip problem gave him a permanent limp, Von Weber began music lessons from his father at age 3. He also had lessons from Michael Haydn, and began publishing his own fughettas at age 10. As he matured, he began writing operas, and touring as a pianist in Germany.
